Non-Prescribed Qualifications

If you hold a qualification that is not prescribed under Regulation you will be required to successfully complete a competency assessment. This assessment is conducted by the Australasian Podiatry Council. Contact details for the Council are as follows:

Once you have successfully completed the above assessment, you will be eligible to apply for General Registration in Queensland. You will need to provide the Board with the following:

  • the relevant application form; and
  • the necessary supporting documentation (as described in the application form and accompanying Information Sheet); and
  • the required fee (as stated in the Information Sheet).

The application fee and information sheet can be downloaded from our Application Forms page.

Once all of the above requirements are received in the Office, your application will be considered by the Board.

Please note: Incomplete applications will be returned for completion without registration being granted.

If General Registration is granted, it will remain current until the upcoming 30th June, regardless of when it is granted.

A Renewal Application will be mailed to you in early April each year, so if you change your contact details, it is imperative that you advise the Board immediately.
